Hello, We pray you had a wonderful Christmas! Central has taken Jesus' commandment known as the Great Commission to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matt. 28:19-20) seriously. We understand there are five different roles we can play as we obey that commandment. Those roles are prayer, welcomer, mobilizer, sender and goer. All five roles are essential and important work in furthering the Kingdom of God.
Therefore, welcome to a new section of the newsletter titled God Story that will contain a two-minute story of someone living out their role in the Great Commission. A big chunk of the stories will be from the 30+ field workers we support throughout the North Africa and the Middle East region. For their safety, we will not always be able to share their name or location. However, we still want to share how God is using them to reach the unreached. As we share these stories, try to identify which role you are playing, and join us in praying as God raises up more prayers, welcomers, mobilizers, senders and goers for the Kingdom.
"This month my teammate and I were prayer-walking and asking God for opportunities to share our faith. We went into a local sports apparel shop and started to engage the young shopkeeper in conversation. I asked him if he knew why we exchange gifts at Christmas and that started an in-depth conversation about Jesus. He pulled up two chairs for us and we spent the next hour reading and discussing the Scriptures. We left encouraged at how God orchestrated such a natural opportunity to share. Jan. 6 - Meet International Students!
ASU has invited us to their Warm Welcome this Thursday, January 6 at their Tempe Student Pavilion from 6-9 PM. They have 1000+ new international students and this is a great way to welcome the nations into our own backyards! Their Basic Training is available online HERE. More info is in the attachment.
